This unique occasion to ride two laps around the Lech Poznań Stadion to the cheering of the crowd will give the children a chance to feel the spirit of sportmanship and competition. Number of spots is limited.

4Awards

The competitors in the general classification of women (for places 1-3) and the general classification of men (for places 1-3) will receive no-cash awards and cups.

Places 1-3 in all age categories will receive no-cash awards and cups.

Each competitor who completes the race will receive a commemorative medal at the finish line.

No-cash awards received within age categories and general categories cannot be replaced.

The awards may be received in person during the awarding ceremony.

5Length and routes of particular races

Long distance (ca. 120 KM) ŠKODA CHALLENGE (UCI Gran Fondo World Championships Qualifications)

The course length will amount to between 110 and 130 km. The exact distance and route will be given at the latest a month before the race.

Right-hand traffic on a single lane on the entire length of the route.

Medium distance (ca. 45 KM) ALLEGRO CHALLENGE

The course length will be between 40 and 60 km. The exact distance and route will be given at the latest a month before the race.

ŠKODA FAMILY CHALLENGE (ca. 11 KM)

The course length will be between 10 and 15 km. The exact distance and route will be given at the latest a month before the race.

6Conditions of participation

Long distance (ca. 120 KM) ŠKODA CHALLENGE

The only persons able to participate in the long distance race are those who on 23.09.2018 are at least 18 years old, and who present, during the verification, a document proving their identity, pay the entry fee and sign the statement on participating in the race of their own will and at their own responsibility.

Minors born in 2002 and 2001 may participate in the long distance race, provided that their legal guardians are present in person in the race office during the receipt of the starter package and sign a statement on takeover of responsibility for the competitor for the duration of the race. The legal guardian of a minor born in 2002 and 2001 does not have to participate in the race with the minor.

Persons born in 2003 and later cannot participate in the long distance race.

The age groups are defined by birth year, on the basis of the age of the competitors as at 31 December of a given year.

For the race, it is absolutely forbidden to use lemond-type attachments, horns and other steering wheel attachments.

Medium distance (ca. 45 KM)

The only persons able to participate in the medium distance race are those who on 23.09.2018 are at least 18 years old and present, during the verification, a document proving their identity, pay the entry fee and sign the statement on participating in the race of their own will and at their own responsibility.

Minors born in 2005 2004, 2003 may participate in the medium distance race, provided that their legal guardians are present in person in the race office during the receipt of the starter package and sign a statement on takeover of responsibility for the competitor for the duration of the race. The minor's guardian has to buy their own starter package and participate in the race along with the minor, and be present at their side throughout the whole course of the race.

Persons born in 2002 and 2001 may participate on their own, provided that their legal guardians are present in person in the race office during the receipt of the starter package and sign a statement on takeover of responsibility for the competitor for the duration of the race.

Persons born in 2006 and later cannot participate in the medium distance race.

ŠKODA FAMILY CHALLENGE (ca. 11 KM)

The only persons able to participate in the Family race are those who on 23.09.2018 are at least 18 years old and present, during the verification, a document proving their identity, pay the entry fee and sign the statement on participating in the race of their own will and at their own responsibility.

Minors born in 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003 may participate in the Family race, provided that their legal guardians are present in person in the race office during the receipt of the starter package and sign a statement on takeover of responsibility for the competitor for the duration of the race. The minor's guardian has to buy their own starter package and participate in the race along with the minor, and be present at their side throughout the whole course of the race.

Persons born in 2002 and 2001 may participate on their own, provided that their legal guardians are present in person in the race office during the receipt of the starter package and sign a statement on takeover of responsibility for the competitor for the duration of the race.

Persons born in 2012 and later cannot participate in the Family race riding a bicycle on their own.

Children riding with the legal guardians in child bicycle seats, child bicycle trailers and on a children's bicycle towed by their guardian's bicycle do not need to buy the starter package. In this situation, the starter package should be purchased only by the adult (legal guardian) riding with the child.

For the race, it is absolutely forbidden to use lemond-type attachments.

Kids bicycle rally

The only persons able to participate in the KIDS race are those born between 2015 and 2012, provided that their legal guardians are present in person in the race office during the receipt of the child starter package and sign a statement on takeover of responsibility for the competitor for the duration of the race. The minor's guardian does not have to buy the starter package, but has to participate in the race along with the minor and be present at their side throughout the whole course of the race. Bicycles and toddler ride-ons without pedals are allowed. The minor's guardian may ride their own bicycle alongside the child.


The starter package of an underage participant can be only collected in person by the legal guardian of the race participant, after signing a statement on takeover of responsibility for the competitor for the duration of the race.

Competitors can register for the event by filling the registration form on the event's website, at the same time confirming awareness of the regulations and accepting them, and expressing their permission for publication of their image and full name in promotional and advertising materials of the Organiser under promotion of the Poznań Bike Challenge. They also give their permission for processing of their personal data to the extent necessary for conducting the Poznań Bike Challenge, including sending information on the event, the newsletter and promotional materials of the Organiser to the designated e-mail address.

The competitors participate in competition voluntarily, being aware of the nature, scope and degree of risk related to participation in this kind of competition, including the risk of accidents, possibility of sustaining bodily injuries and other injuries (including death), as well as the possibility of sustaining possible property damage related to participation in the competition.

7ENTRY FEES, REGISTRATION

Starter packages are sold only through the Allegro website. Each competitor has to buy the starter package for the selected course and pay for it through Allegro. On this basis, within 48h after payment, the participant will receive an e-mail with a special code. The code is valid for 7 days. If the participant fails to register the code within 7 days, he will receive 3 e-mails to the address stated in Allegro reminding him of the registration. After this date, the code will become invalid and it will become impossible to register the package.

The competitors may introduce changes in their form using the login and password specified during registration. The changes can be made free of charge until 31 July 2018. After this date, each change will involve an additional fee in the amount of PLN 50.

In the case of resignation, the entry fee cannot be refunded. After registration of the code, it is not possible to transfer the package to a different participant. The package cannot be transferred for a different event, nor for another year.

8TIMEKEEPING, SECTORS

Long, medium and Family course

Competitors starting from sector "A"
Both in the long distance and medium distance race, starting sector "A" can only be entered by cyclists racing on road bicycles compliant with the Regulations of the race. Sector "A" will be for cyclists with the declared average speed of 45 km/h and above. For the competitors beginning the race from sector "A", gross time is binding. The result of the race is determined by the so-called FOTOFINISH, namely the order, in which each participant crosses the finish line.

Competitors starting from other sectors (40 km/h and below)
For the competitors beginning the race from sectors with the declared average speed of 40 km/h and below (B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I), net time is binding. The result of the race is determined by individual time of each participant. The time will be measured from crossing the start line to crossing the finish line by each participant. The competitors will be classified by age group and bicycle type (road bicycles or others).

The maximum number of competitors in one sector is 250 people. The number of competitors in particular sectors may change.

Each competitor will receive an individual chip to measure their time, except for the Kids course.

Official results will be posted on the official website of the Organiser at www.bike-challenge.pl.

9COLLECTING STARTER PACKAGES

Starter packages can be only collected during business hours of the Race Office (Bułgarska 17, 60-320 Poznań).

As part of the starter package, the participant will receive: start number, brochures and gifts from the race sponsors, as well as a gadget set, and a commemorative medal at the finish line.

10START LIST

o register for the competition, the competitor should go to the website www.bike-challenge.pl, enter the code received after the purchase of the starter package in the Registration Form tab under the selected city and correctly fill in the registration form. After filling the registration form, the participant will be placed on the start list. This means that the registration process was successful. The next stage is to collect the starter package in the Race Office.

11FINAL PROVISIONS

The long distance race and the 16 km Time Trial in Poznań are qualifier races for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships. Detailed information regarding the principles of qualification and the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships are available on the website http://www.ucigranfondoworldseries.com/

The Organiser reserves the right to shorten or change the route, change the start time, suspend or cancel the Race due to force majeure. Force majeure is understood as each sudden external event, which cannot be prevented, in particular: severe atmospheric conditions, natural calamities, state of emergency, war, acts of terror, strikes, new legislation or decisions of administration authorities preventing the Organiser from carrying out the race. In the case of the events mentioned in the previous sentence, which do not result from the fault of the Organiser, the Participants will not be entitled to a refund of the entry fee or any costs incurred by the participants and related to participation in the concerned competition.

The competition will take place regardless of the weather conditions.

Participation in the competition is voluntary. The competitors participate at their own responsibility.

For the purpose of safety of the competitors during the race, the length and route of the race may be changed.

The competitors insure themselves on their own and at their own cost. The Organiser is not liable for any damage caused to the Participants by third parties and vice versa.

The Organiser provides medical care during the competition.

The Organiser has the right to reject registration of a given person without specifying the reason.

The package can be collected by a third party only upon presentation of a statement, available for download on the website bike-challenge.pl.

At the place of the race, it is not allowed to bring or consume any intoxicants, illegal substances, alcohol or substances, which may increase efficiency of the participant, under pain of disqualification.

During the race, it is absolutely forbidden to throw waste on the route. Any observed cases of throwing out waste will result in immediate disqualification of the participant.

Use of any communication tools, such as mobile phones, short-wave radios, radio, etc. and music players when driving a bicycle on the route is prohibited.

The competitors are obliged to have a cycling helmet fastened throughout the whole cycling route.

The start number included in the starter package must be visible at all times throughout the duration of the race.

In the case of a bicycle failure on the road, it is necessary to move away with the bicycle to the shoulder of the road, so as not to disrupt the course of the race.

A feed zone will be located at the finish line, where the participants will be able to get food and drinks. After finishing the race, the competitors will be able to use showers at the finish line.

All disputes which arise during the race will be examined by the referee committee.

The participant has the right to lodge a protest for up to 2 hours after being disqualified or finishing the race.

The race schedule may be changed due to organisational reasons.

The race will take place on a route closed for wheeled traffic.

Interpretation of the regulations is up to the Organiser. Ignorance of the Regulations does not exempt from adhering thereto. A participant, who does not comply with the present Regulations may be disqualified.

The Organiser is not responsible for equipment and other items left by the competitors within the area of the race without supervision or lost by the competitors.

The Organiser holds civil liability insurance of the event. The competitors can buy an accident insurance on their own.

By registering to the race, the competitors express their consent for processing of their personal data, as defined by the Act of 29 August 1997 on Personal Data Protection (Journal of Laws Dz. U. No. 133, item 833), for the purposes of the race, selecting winners, awarding and sending awards. The Organiser is the data administrator. Personal data of the Participants will be used pursuant to the Act of 29 August 1997 on Personal Data Protection (Journal of Laws Dz. U. of 2002, No. 101, item 926, as amended) only for the purposes, referred to in paragraph 1. Personal data may be used for marketing purposes, for the purposes of market research and organisation of marketing competitions by the data administrator, its partners, sponsors of the event or third party organisations cooperating with the Organiser.
